SAMEDA is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational and performance opportunities for those interested in the art of Middle Eastern dance and to promoting this art to the general public by sponsoring seminars, workshops, and events which are available to the public.

SAMEDA also is dedicated to the production of a monthly newsletter that contains listings of such events and items of related interest. The newsletter also provides a public forum in which the membership is encouraged to participate.
